About Leslie

Leslie’s background in ministry is extensive. She began to volunteer for the youth department at her home church the day after she graduated from High School. After serving for a few years, she was asked to take on the role of Jr. High Youth Intern. During this time, she served not only as the interim Jr. High Youth Pastor but also as the youth drama and dance director. She has also worked extensively with an outreach ministry known as Free SK8, a skate park where her church ministered to BMX bikers, In-Skaters, and Skateboarders. She was heavily involved in local mission work, serving at the Poverello House and Fresno Rescue Mission. In the early 2000s, she took several mission trips overseas to Ireland, serving with a local missionary to foster relationships with the youth there.

Currently, Leslie is serving with Reel Ministries, using her creative skills to enhance the red-carpet events for local premiers of various faith films. In addition, she also works with Aspect and Citadel ministries as their social media manager. She recently accepted a position to serve these ministries by helping film their teaching series.

While at Fresno Pacific University studying for her BA in English, she not only worked towards her BA in English/Journalism but also took Conflict Resolution, which she believes is a crucial part of working in any environment. She has also had the privilege of mentoring several middle school students and creating lasting relationships with them – some of which have lasted to this day.

While she works as a freelance writer, her passions remain in creativity and serving. She enjoys writing a religious blog entitled Casting Stones and working as a script to novel writer for an independent film company. And, she works on her novels when she is not doing any of that. Leslie’s fresh faith and postmodern views of theology and service have driven her to serve wherever needed, however needed. And while she has Martha’s mind, she is a Mary at heart. Her greatest delight is watching her children follow in her footsteps as they now serve at the same church Leslie grew up in.
