About Us
Stories have a way of reaching all types of people in all types of ways. Jesus used stories that were relatable to people 2,000 years ago and yet remain timeless to the human race. Movies and films are the story-telling vehicle of our time. Our world is desperate for movies with meaningful messages, hopeful and encouraging.
When a story is told, each listener can glean something different from the same story. One can relate to the parent in the story, while another relates to the teenager. Movies and films take that story-telling to a whole different depth. The question is, what are we doing with those stories?
REEL – Relevant Entertainment for Equipping Leaders is a ministry that helps bring Christian faith-based films to influencers across the globe. These movies and films become a powerful teaching tool in their hands. Sometimes this is done through grass-roots promotions and bringing pre-screenings to large communities. Other times, REEL will host red carpet movie releases with guest talent, hold large conferences with the message of the movie at the heart of it, or even take a film to tribes in the back hills of another country. The cornerstone to everything we do is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, showing the true hope, love and peace we have in Him.
“Films are powerful. The gospel never changes, but a generation does. Own the tools of your time. The suspension of disbelief – The audience enters the story. It is so important as Christians to use this medium. Setting a volleyball someone else spikes. the parables tell a story that provokes and makes people see something. The local church, pastors, youth pastors, parents, etc. then can use that and take it to the next step.”
~ Jon Erwin, Chief Executive Officer at Kingdom Story Company

From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes AVERAGE JOE, in theaters beginning October 11.
